Historic Change: Celebrating the Life and Legacy Ida B. Wells

The United States Mint and the National Women’s History Museum, in partnership with the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, invite you to join us for a special evening celebrating the life and legacy of Ida B. Wells and the launch of the new quarter in her honor.

This inspiring program will include remarks by special guests, including Michelle and Dan Duster, Ida B. Wells’ great grandchildren.

Ida B. Wells was a prolific educator, investigative journalist, suffragist, and civil rights activist. She fought for justice and equality throughout her life and used her powerful voice to expose violence against African Americans in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
